In Our Family

Here is my latest layout, which I made for a friend’s 40th birthday. (Being 40 is obviously THE age to be – I have obviously started a trend!) I love the words, which were provided by his wife (but source unknown). The photo of their family was taken in a boat in front of Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge. I haven’t seen it from this angle – and it looks like a worth-while boat trip to take. The Rope Bridge is just a few miles from The Giants Causeway – our most famous natural rock formation here in Northern Ireland.

I mentioned in my last post that I was starting to create digital layouts for others as a commercial business. I now have a name JM Digital Designs, and have my first commission. Watch this space – hopefully more soon.
Really enjoyed church this morning, the text our minister preached on was from Isaiah Chapter 40, and in particular the following verses
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
An excellent illusration he gave was to show us a £10 note. He asked who would like it. Then he crumpled it, and asked again. Then he threw it down, and stamped on it, and asked did we still want it. Of course the answer was yet – the point being that even when we have been through tough times, and feel of no use to anyone, God still values us and wants us. Our value is not effected by what we have been through.
Have a great week and take care
