Lovely flowers and yummy breakfast in bed for Mothers Day

I received these lovely flowers and yummy breaskast in bed for Mothers Day (yes …. it is Mothers Day / Mothering Sunday here in UK –  before my discovered blogs I didn’t realise that not everyone celebrated on the same day!)

My daughters were away at our church youth fellowship weekend until 4pm, so I am looking forward to a lovely dinner (currently being cooked by my husband) with all of us around our newly chalk-painted dining room table.

I visited my Mum yesterday at the Nursing Home, to deliver my gift and card. It’s lovely to see her still smiling and content despite the stroke, and although I miss her chats, I am grateful she is still here. My thoughts today are with those who can no longer visit their Mum’s on Mothers Day, or perhaps have lost a child making Mothers Day a difficult day too.
