Pumpkins, petals and vintage charity shop tea pot

Pumpkins, petals and vintage charity shop tea pot set. I loved the shape and colour of this teapot I found over the weekend. Perfect for some September faffing. Charity shops can be very hit or miss, but I love finding the unexpected. It seems this might be a 1950’s set from Gibson Pottery in Staffordshire. I love imagining it’s history, who served tea from it, and how it ended up where I found it.

September brings the excuse I need to create more autumnal wreaths and crocheted pumpkins. To the relief of my husband these are for sale.... apparently it IS possible to have too many pumpkins! Hello September, goodbye summer! The Causeway Sunf

Hello September, goodbye summer! The Causeway Sunflower Field was the perfect way to end our summer. Not the summer any of us planned but we really enjoyed the extra time spent up on the north coast with our kids. We also had a night away in Titanic Hotel and 3 glorious nights in Donegal with warm sunshine for good measure! From caves to waterfalls, harbours and sunsets we have made lots of memories this summer. Almost back to normal now, school is back for our son and 2nd daughter heading back to Uni in Glasgow this weekend. I have shared a few of my highlights of the summer. How has your summer been?

The north coast never ceases to provide stunning views. Last night it was a trip over to Ballycastle for icecream. Beautiful evening, crashing waves, boats bobbing in the marina. Heading home the views over Ballintoy and White Park Bay were a gorgeous mix of pinks, purples and gold. A delightful dose of Vitamin Sea

Flowers..... I love flowers, to faff with them, to grow them (even some from seed this year). I love weeds and wildflowers too. Combining flowers with vintage china to make a pretty picture makes me happy. I live floral china especially teapots. I'm even not adverse to wearing a bit of "vegetation" as my kids call it (do love a floral dress!) What about you?

Lovely to return to Titanic Hotel in Belfast for a

Lovely to return to Titanic Hotel in Belfast for a #staycation. Room with a view, beautifully restored historic building, delicious dinner and a gorgeous sunset. We were fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit the old drawing offices in 2012 before the restoration/conversion to an hotel - swipe to see some of the original spaces I photographed before the work began.
