Self Portrait Shock!

Those who “know” me, in the real world and on-line know I hate to be in front of the camera. So imagine my sinking heart when I was challenged to post a self-portrait (including my name for the forum) for my latest photography course – arrrghhh!

So this “self” portrait had 3 willing young photographic assistants – one to hold the camera and two to make me laugh while I pressed the remote control button and held up the name card. A mulit-tasking challenge, even for me!

So here it is – still cannot believe I am posting this. Better hit the publish button before I change my mind.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

  1. What a great self-portrait! You are truly beautiful! My husband was just pointing out the other day that we have virtually no photos of me. He just doesn’t get it!

  2. I think its a great photo! I am just like you.. No photos, even when my husband grabs the camera I really shy away from it. Fantastic photo! Its great to “see” you!

  3. Stopping by from DST blog train. I think your photo is GREAT! You’re very pretty:) I always hide from the camera! My poor kids! They’ll have a hard time remembering what I looked like! Gotta fix that!

  4. Great photo! And the kids did a great job – you’re smiling all the way through to your eyes! You have NO reason to hide behind the camera! Get in more shots of you with the kids, you have a remote!

  5. I think it’s a great photo and you look so nice! you shouldn’t be worried about it at ALL πŸ™‚
Question… is that word art under your photo something you made, or something that came from your course? Was wondering if I can use it when I post my own self portrait on my blog πŸ™‚

    Thanks!

  6. It’s a great self-portrait. You are beautiful!!!

I only started taking pictures of myself since I started blogging. People want to see the person behind the words.

  7. Why the angst, JanMary? You are lovely…and I mean that sincerely.

It is always so wonderful to see the face behind the posts and behind the lense. I, for one, am very glad that you put this on your blog. Thank you!

  8. That is a fabulous self portrait!! I like you hate to be in front of the camera. In fact just the though can send me into a panic attack. LOL

  9. Now THERE’S the warm smile and friendly visage I imagine each time I leave a comment here! YAY – now I put your ‘face’ in my heart!

I’ve come to know your lovely “interior” before you sharing your “exterior” – they’re equally pleasing!

Hope you have a wonderful day.
