A Spontaneous Visit to the Cottage
It’s not like us to be spontaneous! With 3 kids and hectic lives, we usually plan well in advance when we are heading north, and usually only go when we are able to for the full weekend. However, on Friday evening, with a reasonable weather forecast, we decided to drive up after lunch on Saturday.
In our 24 hour visit we managed to fit in a cinmena trip for some, some bead shopping for others, a trip to the beach near Dunseverick for hot chocolate and marshmallows on Saturday evening, and out for lunch on Sunday. Inspite of packing that all in, we still felt relaxed!
Not too many photo-taking opportunities, apart from the Saturday evening on the beach, so here goes :-
Spot the Daddy’s girl, who has him wrapped around her little finger!
The sisters!
Fortunately we had the beach entirely to ourselves
And finally, as the light began to fade, I experimented with taking some longer exposures of the waves with my camera.
So, what have YOU been up to this weekend? Please share, I love your comments.
loving the one of the 2 girls together !! so beautiful –
also love the waves – please tell me you had a tripod with you and your hands are not that steady! 🙂
LIfe is back to normal around here –
housecleaning and a movie today I think – oh yes – i will be planting a herb garden !!!
GORGEOUS photos JM – lovely memories. Nothings more relaxing than a fire at the beach. Your family looks like an advert for clothing, everyone is so photogenic.
Cool to see your experimental photo at the end.
Thanks for sharing your impromptu weekend, those are sometimes the best. (because you’re not stressed out from packing and planning)
