Delicious Soup and Daily Photos
Looking for a quick, easy and very tasty soup to make? I made this one today for lunch and it was delicious!
Lentil & Bacon Soup
4 oz red lentils
2 oz bacon – chopped
1 large onion – chopped
400g tin chopped tomatoes
1 1/2 pints chicken stock
Fry onion and bacon in a little olive oil
Add lentils, tomatoes and stock
Bring to boil and simmer for 20 minutes
Blend before serving
That’s it – yes, it is that easy!
It is definitely the season here for warming soups, and I would love it if you would let me know your all time favorite SOUP?
Are you taking daily photos for Project 365? I did it last year, apart from just a few days, and my plan is to continue this year too.
Here are some of my daily photos from the last few days.
My daughter is in the middle of school exams
And we got a Sky HD+ box installed yesterday, so finally I can record programmes again. In fact I can also pause live TV and even set it to record programmes using an App on my iphone!
I found the Project 365 photos helped my blogging, and blogging helped me keep on track with my daily photos too, so it was a Win/Win situation!
With some great kits and incentives from Weeds & Wildflowers to keep on track I “digitally scrapped” my photos each week (with a few more still to be completed for 2009) and here is my first page for 2010.
Have you/are you taking part in Project 365?
I am totally trying out that soup! I love all the ingredients separately so together they have to be delicious.
My mom makes THE best bean soup and lentil soup I’ve ever tasted. And I love Panera’s baked potato soup. Yummmmm.
I’m trying to do a pseudo-project 365… posting a few pictures from our week every Friday instead of committing to posting one everyday. Hopefully that will work better for me, especially since I’ve fallen off the posting-almost-every-day wagon recently!
What a great sounding recipe! Love your scrapbook page:)
We have Virgin not Sky and we get our V+ box tomorrow!
My youngest has science exam tomorrow and my eldest has maths on friday. That’s it for this time round for us.
Hey just want to say thank you for my Nativity prize! It arrived safe & sound & I love it! It will be fun to unwrap it next year as a new addition to my little collection!
That soup looks great! I don’t have many soup recipes, so I’ll have to give it a try!
Ok–you might have me in digital scrapbooking if it’s easy and doesn’t take more than 15 minutes per day. 😀
Love the soup—I have one made with red lentils but not with bacon!
Your soup sounds nummy and delicious. I’m presuming you would cook the lentils ahead, or do they come in a can. I like the colour of the soup.
I don’t know about the 365 thing, but it might end up being that as with my iphone I can blog daily and taking pics is a “snap” (wink – pun intended)
I loved seeing your progress through the year!
Love, Barb
Well, having already failed my January start of Project 365, I have decided to restart on February 1. We’ll see. I’d like to actually complete it!
