Learning more lessons
Firstly I am learning to be creative with “Lessons learned” titles!
Some of my lessons learned this week –
My beads turned out so much better than I expected – I will show you what I end up creating next week.
First snow drops – even more hopeful sign of spring when they are peeking through the icy ground.
Another momentous agreement in Northern Ireland? I hope so.
There have been days and days of talking (at least they were talking!), and one day while passing Hillsborough Castle I noticed that only the TV cameras were waiting in the cold – presumably the TV crews were keeping warm somewhere!Β Anyway on Friday agreement seemed to have been reached.
I love our newly painted bedroom. I forgot to take the before photo, but actually the colour has not changed much, but it is great to have it all freshly painted. My challenge now is to stop it getting cluttered up again!Β Here are the during and after pics.
A trip to the library is always a joy – I love the peace and quiet, and just browsing.Β This week I was a bit more pushed for time, but managed to take a photo for my Project 365.
I learned that the pipes will break when you need them most! And that supporting friends has its own rewards!
Have a happy week!
I’ve learned that although my child thinks an experience he had this week-end is the pinnacle of his life, that he needs to learn it was just a stepping stone and there’s so much more out there waiting for him. Oops. I’m preaching – not learning. Sorry π
I’ll be curious about the chocolate taste test.
I’ve learned that our bedroom will probably never be painted. I’m jealous of your bedroom color. Sigh. I’m still dealing with the seasick cookie monster hue in ours.
You take great photos. And wow- chocolate? That is awesome!
Steph
Its such a terrible job tasting all that chocolate but someone has to do it! can’t wait and all those desserts as well. May not eat dinner to save room!
love the new bedroom colors!!!
We are going to be starting to re-arrange some rooms in the house too – can’t wait.
Let me know how you love the chocolate –
and we are really really cold here in florida again.!!
Lots of lessons for one week. I love your library photo – makes me want to be there (without my children). And the chocolate… how did THAT happen?
So glad you are seeing signs of spring! I fear we will never get there! We keep getting snow, snow, and more snow! What an awesome product to review – chocolate! Can’t wait to read about it!
Your beads look so rich and bold! Ha, who knew you could make em yourself. Very nice and can’t wait to see what you create from them.
Don’t get me started on the library, I could get locked in there for weeks, quite happily.
A taste tester for chocolate??? where do I sign up for testing things, huh huh?
Your bedroom looks nice and restful, must be the thing to do for I re-arranged mine this week too. I used to have my computer in there because it affords a fabulous view of the lake and was heavenly while I blogged… but now I can blog from my iphone so I moved the computer out… I think its nice to have a room just restful. What do you think?
what a feast to try all those chocolates!!! i would volunteer to do that…hahaha! your bedroom color is just calming… i would want that color too.
What a fun taste test!! And I love your newly painted bedroom…and yeah for the Library! π
Be blessed-
Amanda
Beautiful pictures as always and I don’t think I could have said YES quick enough on the chocolate testing! LOL
BLessings,
Kim
Simple things and activities are special when shared with the one you love.
Mama Bear
organic green chocolate. I’m definitely interested in the taste test results!
And keep the makeover photos coming! I love the ideas and the motivation!
Now that sounds like a fun night! Chocolate tasting, I am going to have to do that!!!
I love the library too! A friend recently answered this question about me on FB: “If April could spend the rest of her life in one place, where would it be?” She answered: “The Library!” π
Wow, you have learned a lot of lessons in a week. By the way, great shots. I like the snow drops the most, the smallest thing is most appreciated when you take a closer look at it and that’s how I convey the First Snow Drop there.
My bedroom is in need of a fresh coat of paint as well. I keep putting it off because it’s such a pain, but after seeing your finished product I’m inspired to get moving!
Oh, and don’t you just love the library? My whole family loves visiting both libraries and book stores. We could kill hours there!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
JanMary, it’s so good to hear from you. It’s been a while!
And – if you figure out how to keep your bedroom from becoming cluttered, will you PLEASE tell me? All of us? Cuz I need to do some learning in that department! *grin*
Ok, I want to join that tasting party. Love me some chocolate! And organic, you say? So, would remove some of the guilt. That is good, yes?
Love the bedroom – simple and welcoming! And the beads – those are GORGEOUS. I can’t wait to see what you make with them. π
beautiful beads and fantastic remodeling of your bedroom – love your furniture!
