A Year of Digital Scrapbooking – a review and some thankyous.

So this time last year, I stumbled across digital scrapbooking while trying to create a photo calendar as a gift for the grandparents. Little did I know what a Pandora’s box I was about to open…..
One year on, I now have a blog, some great on-line friends, lots of memories preserved in layouts, a laptop, external hard drive…….and even a small part-time business creating digital layouts for others!

I had never used photoshop Elements. I had never read a blog or downloaded a freebie. I did not know what a CT was in April, but by May I was on TWO!

So it has been a great year, thanks to my husband and family allowing me the time and space to “futter” on the computer.
Petra, on her blog has posted her top 7 layouts of the year, and I am sort of doing the same here, but I have chosen one layout per month. Be kind….remember I started at zero, so please forgive the unsubtle drop shadows and odd floating embellishment, but hopefully you can see my style emerging and growing through the year…..

Finally, a big thankyou to everyone in the Digiscrap Community who have helped me so generously in so many ways. For their advice, expertise, patience and above all friendship.

To my real world friends, thanks for the patience and tolerance as I showed them yet another layout I had created, and as I started to communicate in a whole new language!

And to the designers who have given me the opportunity to use their products and be part of their wonderful Creative Teams -thank you Lara Payton, all the girls at Weeds & Wildflowers (but especially Gina) and the lovely Chere Kaye.

Goodness, that sounded like an Oscar acceptance speech!!!

Have a great New Year, see you in 2008!

Take care and God Bless.
