Blog Journal Day 5 – Songs Everyone Should Hear
This post if brought to you courtesy of my iphone.
Although I tend to listen more to podcasts and BBC iplayer on my iphone, I love having my favourite music so readily available.
The prompt for today is to list my top 10 songs, but of course choosing just 10 songs in next to impossible so I have more than 10 artists and I have added more than one song to some of the artists – but it is MY blog 🙂
In Christ Alone / Power of the Cross
(I don’t listen to a lot of christian artists, but I love the Getty’s music)
Van Morrison Have I Told You Lately / Coney Island
Michael Buble Home / Just Haven’t Met You Yet
Cold Play Fix You
Eric Clapton Wonderful Tonight
Israel Kamakawiwo’ole Somewhere Over the Rainbow
(discovered this version when it was used when Mark Greene was spending his last days on beach in ER!)
Jack Johnson Better Together
(this just makes me smile)
James Blunt You’re Beautiful / Carry You Home / High
Leona Lewis Happy
Mika Grace Kelly / We are Golden
Robbie Williams Angels
Snow Patrol Chasing Cars
Will Young Leave Right Now
So would any of these songs or artists feature in your top choices?
Not sure what my eclectic mix says about me!
This post is part of a challenge to blog daily for a month with different prompts each day. You can see links to the other participants here, and you are welcome to play along at any time.
love the angel song from RW, too! One of my favorite song is also somewhere over the rainbow, in memory of my passed away daughter
I <3 snow patrol! and home by michael buble 🙂
Home is my my hubs and my song. ^_^ I love your list!
Wonderful Tonight is my all time favorite! Carla
LOVE LOVE LOVE Van Morrison and his Have I Told You Lately is, hands down, one of my favorite songs EVER. When Rod Stewart came out with his version, I just about vomited.
I also love Van’s “Someone Like You” … have you head it? Gives me goosebumps.
LOVE LOVE LOVE VAN MORRISON!
What a wonderful mix! I’ll listen to your channel any day 🙂
Eric Clapton always has a soft spot in my heart!
yes I have one!
Israel Kamakawiwo’ole Somewhere over the rainbow. I love this song soooo much 😉 When I worked on my kit “Somewhere over the rainbow” I was listening this version..amazing
Michael Buble is at the top of my list! Just love his work.
Oh my goodness, I totally remember that episode of ER! That was the first time I heard the song too, and to be honest I think it kind of ruined it for me because I just always associate with the tragic death of Dr. Green. 🙂
I don’t care what my kids say, I love me some James Blunt! I heard a new Will Young track on the radio yesterday and I like it.
