Boston Day 1 – A Sailor went to sea, sea, sea, or maybe the N E Aquarium –

We ventured as a family of 5 into Boston on Saturday.

We went by car, the T, a shuttle bus (part of our Red Line was closed), more of the T, and finallly found our way to book a Duck Tour for later in the day, and then on to the New England Aquarium.

The kids really enjoyed most of the Duck Tour of Boston, especially the parts on the Charles River.

This was the moment of realisation that we were going from the roads into the water!

Any kid that wanted to was given the chance to “steer” the boat, and you can guess who was first to volunteer!

The journey back included more time on a shuttle bus in heavy traffic, and some very hot T stations, but we made it back to our temporary home sweet home.

Day 2 of Boston coming soon.

Loving the comments, keep them coming if you can 🙂

  1. I’ll be honest, Boston isn’t a place I would have thought to go on holiday, but it looks great so far. Mind you, as long as there’s a body of water bigger than your average irish puddle I can make a holiday of it:)

    Looking forward to Day 2.

  2. It’s bring back memories of our time in New England and Boston before the kids. Love going down memory lane with your photos.

  3. I bet half the people in Boston have not enjoyed all that you’ve fit in! Love the fish photo, and the love-birds… and of course your little man driving the boat. I’m sure we will see more driving photos of him over the years as he graduates from vehicle to vehicle. Sure he’s not piloting the jet back home…. hmmmm?

    Love, Barb
