Day 14 – Yummy Mince Pies

I would like to say that the contents of today’s Christmas photo were made by my fair hand, but no…..but there were bought and photographed personally by me, so that will have to do!

I am combining my photo with the continued Christmas Survey

What Christmas food item do you enjoy?

I LOVE nearly all traditional Christmas food, including all the trimmings, but I reckoned that mini mince pies would make a prettier picture that a plate of brussell sprouts! I do love brussell sprouts, but have not managed to convince my kids to share my passion, even when I describe them as Barbie cabbages.

So what Christmas food do you look forward too?

On a side note, I also love Christmas plates and bowls. Those in todays photo were a bargain at £2 each from Matalan.

We have a 10th birthday party here tomorrow night, and I will have 10 girls making mini-albums – come back tomorrow of maybe Sunday to see those.

Until then, take care

  1. WOO HOO!!! Another brussel sprout lover!!! I can eat them anytime!

I would have to say my favorite Christmas food though would be fudge…It’s about the only time of the year I get it! 🙂 And I’m a major chocoholic!! LOL

Great photo of the pies, they look yummy!

  2. Oops! Got confused about whose Blogger comment form I was on! I meant to say… I can’t really choose just one – I love sugar cookies and only eat them at Christmastime and the same goes for pecan pie. Almost everything else I can take or leave.

  3. Love the photo – those are so cute! When you say mince you mean mincemeat I am sure, which I love but my husband does not. Is it really made with meat in it anymore? Someone gave me a recipe to make it with green tomatoes, and it turns out lovely.

I think brussels are a grown-up food, for some reason I remember hating them as a child. Very clever of you to disguise them as doll-cabbages! Seems to me people either love them or hate them but not much in between!

I hope your party is a success!
