Family Trip to Florida part 4 – Sea World and shopping
We chose Wednesday to be our first visit to Sea World. As we are doing Discovery Cove later in the week we have unlimited visits to Sea World included, so don’t have to pack it in to one day.
We chose the shows we wanted to see, and then just wandered between them, seeing what we discovered.
We saw dolphins being fed before the Horizon Dolphin show.
In the Horizon show there were lots of people – divers and acrobats, in amazing costumes, but we preferred just to see the dolphins!
Next was the hilarious Clyde and Seamour Show – and the pre-show mime artist was not to be missed. I certainly wouldn’t have wanted to be late arriving.
Finally, we finised with the Shamu show – we were seated quite far back, despite my son desparately wanting to be in the soak zone!
We do enjoy Sea World as a pleasant break from the Disney parks, but since our last visit my impression is that there is a LOT more ways to extract additional money from your pocket ….. extra “fun fair” arcade games, extra to get close to feed the dolphins etc. We still loved it, just felt our money was under some additional pressure this time!
Lunch was at Sweet Tomatoes – or “just vegetables” as my eldest daughter described it – not her thing – unlimited salad buffet, with soup, bread, pasta and of course “make your own ice cream sundae”.
We relaxed at the villa for a while, and ordered in pizza before heading out for a bit of retail therapy – Lake Buena Vista outlets, primarily for their Aeropostale, and my daughters managed to find a few more items they had yet to try on.
We also had our first rain of the holiday – a huge heavy downpour.
Thanks for joining me in yet another over-detailed post recording our family trip to Florida. Come back for more soon!
