The kitchen continues, and we go to the beach
Did you miss me yesterday? I took some photos in the morning, then left the camera at home so my hubby could continue to document the destruction of the kitchen.
Here is how I left it yesterday morning,
and here is how it looked this morning before my husband left home to join us for the weekend.
I was surprised to see how few signs of spring there are here, compared to at home. The cottage is only 60 miles further north, but it is quite exposed and only a mile from the coast. Here is the tree right outside the cottage.
This afternoon we all headed to Runkerry Strand. It was sunny and blustery, and the kids loved exploring the beach, and chucking stones into the waves.
We found an egg-shaped rock (!), which the kids plan to paint. I don’t think they will accept this as an alternative to a chocolate egg somehow.
On the way back over the footbridge, my son asked to play Pooh Sticks and “rock sticks”!
Finally here is another layout using Life is Good by Weeds and Wildflowers Designs, of my pirate daughter from earlier in the week.
OK you are up to date, but come back soon for more Project 365 daily pics, and updates on the kitchen makeover.
Great Photos. Can’t wait to see how things turn out in the new kitchen. Hope you have a great time ‘up North!’ x
I have similar photos to that from when our kitchen was redone over Christmas. Hope it all turns out awesome!
Great photos, it looks ‘breezy’ down at the beach, a bit like the weather we’re having, autumn is well and truly here!
Can’t wait to see your new kitchen and have a wonderful time while your away!
Beautiful beach photos. I hope you have a good trip.
I wanted to let you know I’ve read all the way back to your Mother’s Day in March! So, I’m caught up!
I LOVE the pictures, I LOVE THEM! Your kids are so adorable and I can see you in them! It’s so neat.
I love the crafty things you do and make. Love it all!
Can’t wait to see what your NEW kitchen will look like! I’m so glad I had a chance to come and catch up!

How fun! I love remodel projects! I can’t wait to see the new kitchen!
The beach looks so cold and blustery, but it looks like you all had a fabulous time!
ooh that beach looks cold! its still pretty warm here in sydney -still swimming weather at our beaches! lol. Good luck with your kitchen renovations. ours has been in a state of half renovation for about a year now! lol
How VERY exciting, and so wonderful you can be away while all is being torn. It will be like one of those shows where you come back and someone’s completely changed and upgraded. How COOL!
i think the photo with dd and the rock/egg is soooo beautiful! Wonderful post as always!
It is good that you can be away while th bulk of the work happens. I remember just the noise of our kitchen being done wore me down. There didn’t seem to be anywhere in the house to hide from it:)
great beach pics – I wish I´ll could be there, too!!
great idea to left your camera at home so your DH could took the pictures … great how your project continues

I’m so glad you visited me. I love your blog! And I love Ireland, was there 2 years ago w/hubs. His parents were both born and raised in Dublin.
Please keep in touch! Hugs!
What a great rock find and perfect timing. Can’t wait to see the kitchen.
I think I mentioned before how much I love kitchen makeovers! It seems to go on forever but once it’s done, the WOW factor totally makes up for all the inconvenience.
