On the 4th day of December – it’s (sort of) beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Today is the day that the boxes have been designated to come down from the attic so the decorating can commence – Hurrah!

In the meantime, after some Christmas shopping this morning, I rounded up all those useless essential items of decor I have purchased throughout the year in anticipation of Christmas. I usually hide them somewhere forgettable, and then forget to look for them before the following January.

However, today I rounded them up, so here is some pre-Christmas Christmas decor, if you know what I mean.

First we have the ornament we bought in Disneyland Paris in March. (No significant vacation is complete without a Christmas ornament purchase, don’t you think?)

Then we have some of my bargains – of which I am very pleased!

This Santa, sleigh and reindeer cost £3.50 (less than $6!)

This wee nativity was only £2.99

This jingly silver bell wreath was £1

So what about you? Do you enjoy Christmas purchases through the year? And if so. do you remember to look for them in time for Christmas.

Tomorrow I plan to visit the annual Christmas Craft Fair at St Georges Market which is always bustling, full of wonderful food and lots of creative goodiness.  If you missed last year’s post you can catch up on it HERE.

Finally, just 2 more days to enter to win this Christmas Candelabra – go to THIS blog post and leave a comment.

  1. I always buy a Christmas decoration when we’re away, even when we went to Newcastle (yes the Newcastle in Co Down:)) for the weekend, I do forget to dig some of them out in time for Christmas though, don’t we all.
