Textiles and textures and prizes
I bought this table runner at a craft market before Christmas, and it is made up of lots of different fabrics, colours and textures. I plan to hang it on the wall on the turn of the stairs in our hall and if I ever manage to do that I promise to post another photo.
In the meantime, I enjoyed the challenge of photographing it this morning, catching the light on some of the sparklier sequins and gold thread.
I promised today to show you some more of the prizes for my St Patricks Day Blogging Carnival. They are 3 little books – Little Book of Irish Baking, Little Book of Irish Sayings and the Appletree Book of Celtic Proverbs (in Irish and English).
To enter the giveaway, post an irish/St Patrick’s Day post (even if it is that you don’t celebrate it!) linking back to my blog, and add it to the Mr Linky list which will be on my blog on St Patrick’s Day
More prizes to be announced soon!
You have a great blog, and your photos looks great too, I have always wanted to go to Irland for vecation sometime. 😉
The runner is lovely. I wouldn’t have thought to hang one, but actually its a great idea. I’ve a few odd shaped nooks I wouldn’t mind something hanging in, but didn’t because I thought frames pictures wouldn’t look right. That’ll be me off to holywood now for the next craft fair.
I think anyone will get a kick out of the books.
It really looks like a nice runner! Hope we get to see it on the wall too! 🙂
