Valentine Hearts

Happy Valentines Day to one and all.

I made waffles (well, technically I just reheated them) with strawberries and blueberries for breakfast in bed for my husband.

There were also chocolates and candles exchanged and cards from the kids.

In the interest of Project 365 I had the kids help me find as many heart shaped items as we could in the cottage. I was surprised by the number we found – here are some of them

willow heart

wire heart (from Paris last year)

fabric heart

heart mirror

heart candle holder

heart calendar

more fabric hearts

glitter heart on a fluffy box (from my daughters’ room!)

heart tag

a heart pen pot

jelly hearts (great inspiration by the kids last night, but the jelly refused to be removed intact from the ice-cube tray this morning!)

even plastic heart container that the strawberries came in!

Which heart do you prefer?

  1. What a great idea!! And your cottage decorations are just so cute! My favorite is the heart-shaped wreath and the candle holder, which looks like a bird house! 🙂

  2. Oh, it would be nice if V-day wasn’t such a big deal here. You can’t seem to get away from it though, so we just keep it very simple. You’re right, your kids would probably love having class parties though – it’s another excuse for having lots of sugary treats and time away from academics! 🙂

  3. Happy Valentine’s Day.

I bet if I started looking around we would have lots of hearts here too.

  4. Haha -how clever! I think it’s so fun to do a ‘themed’ hunt for photo ideas. Whether it’s a color, shape or idea.

Personally – though I like anything that glitters, I would also like heart shaped jellies. Too bad they did not come out of the pan.

My Mr. Cooked for me too.

Hope you have a lovely day. Is thius the last before life gets back to normal?

  5. Ilove the black wire heart! Great photos for Valentine’s day. Thanks for visiting my blog!

  6. Wow, amazing how you found so many hearts around you! Those are all beautiful, I love looking at all of them.
