What a difference a day makes

The reason for this title will hopefully be obvious.

Last Friday and Saturday I visited a local lake, almost exactly 24 hours apart. Here are two photos of almost the same view:

I have not been doing much digital scrapping this week, although I am working on another 40th birthday present, but I don’t want to post it too soon and spoil the surprise.

I did remember though, that I never shared a digital gift I created for my husband as part of his Christmas present. I knew as soon as I saw these frosted glass coasters they would be perfect either for photos or mini copies of digital layouts. In the end I chose 4 of my fav pics of the kids from 2007.

They came in a trendy dark wooden holder, and I was pleased with how they turned out.

Since discovering digital scrapbooking, I am now continually on the look out for items suitable to display my square prints. Even friends who don’t digi-scrap now keep a look out for me too, and it amazes me how much there is available just in the local shops and supermarkets if you “think outside the box”.

George the Cat Update

George continues to look both cute and ridiculous in his collar/cone. He seems resigned to not getting outside for the moment, and is content to do impersonations of Garfield – either sleeping or eating at every opportunity. We are taking him to the vet on wednesday (but shhhhh, don’t tell George!) and if we get the all clear, we plan to give try removing the collar yet again.

So this may be (hopefully) my last chance to post a silly sleeping cat in a collar.

For those dedicated George followers, you will notice his fur is regrowing where he had been shaved, so he should not look quite so ridiculed by the neighbouring cats when he is reintroduced to cat society, and will hopefully retain some “street cred”.

Finally, just to let you know I have started a PHOTO BLOG called Welcome to My World in Photos.

I have come across some great photo blogs for Project 365, with the intention of posting a photo each day of 2008. I knew that would not be possible for me, but I will post as often as I can. So feel free to pop over and leave a comment or two.

If you are doing something similar please let me know, as I plan to have a blogroll specifically for this.

Until next time, take care.
