19th December – the party is over
The party for my 12 year old is over, and we survived – the chocolate fountain (a HUGE success!)
(served with marshmallows, mini doughnuts, jelly babies, grapes, strawberries and fresh pineapples)
the FOUR crafts – phone charms; Christmas snowflakes; candles; decorated clip boards
Not forgetting the chocolate birthday cake, and the 6 friends from school.
So 12 years ago today my daughter arrived, 4 weeks early, and my husband and I became parents for the first time.
Here she was then just minutes after the c/section………. she lay quietly, staring at me intently ……… wondering what in the world had just happened to her…….. and she wasn’t the only one!!!!!
And here she was this evening.
Not sure where those last 12 years have gone!
Can you remember your 12th birthday – not sure I can.
Short post tonight, but daily blogging for Christmas continues – tomorrow there will be the last 2 carol services, and a family joint birthday party.
