Day 13 – Christmas Gift Suggestions, a new bike and a holiday in a box!
I received the following from a church friend and wanted to share it with you.
Christmas gift suggestions:
To your enemy, forgiveness.
To an opponent, tolerance.
To a friend, your heart.
To a customer, service.
To all, charity.
To every child, a good example.
To yourself, respect.
Today my daughter Jane finally got to try out her birthday present – her new bicycle.
Christmas survey continued…
What is your most memorable Christmas Gift?
I planned to share a Christmas paper scrapbook page about a memorable Christmas gift. However as I was photographing it today, I realised the amount of “digital” parts of the pages that I would now call a “hybrid” page. I made this before I really even discovered digital scrapbooking existed, and had only been paper scrapping a few months. Little did I realise how I much I would become involved in digital scrapbooking within the year!
It records the moments at Christmas 2005 when our children discovered their surprise Christmas present from us was a trip to Walt Disney World, Florida and we were going within 2 weeks. Their faces at the moment of realisation is priceless! I am still quite proud of my idea to give the present as a Mickey Mouse helium balloon, with a note attached. I also included a scanned image of Sarah’s thankyou letter which she wrote in school and it includes the classic line
“I didn’t think a holiday would be in a box”.
So what is one of your most memorable Christmas gifts?
Come back tomorrow,
and until then, take care.
What a lovely thankyou-letter and what a great present.
I hope we go to Disneyland Paris for one day..within 2 weeks..just to see all Christmas Decorations and the parade.
