Irish Dancing Dresses and Cousins

We had some tired and grumpy kids following a late night at the GB Display, and losing an hour as the clocks changed forward to British Summer Time. However, we still had a very enjoyable afternoon with my brother-in-law, wife and 2 daughters today.

Both their lovely curly haired daughters learn Irish dancing, and today their mum was sewing on the freshly starched lace collar and cuffs to one of their dancing dresses. The dress was made and hand embroidered by their grandmother. Of course I could not resist taking some photographs to share with my blogging friends!

Here are the two nieces, who obligingly let me photograph them before we left.

That’s all for today. Hope you come back tomorrow for more.
