On the 18th of December ….. snowy business

This will be a short and somewhat bittersweet post tonight.

Photos taken with my NEW Canon 500D – an early Christmas present.

I NEVER remember snow like this

In other news, unfortuantely my daughter, who will be 13 tomorrow, has had to postpone her birthday party due to the continued snow and atrocious road conditions.  She had hoped to still have a couple of friends to sleepover, but again the snow intervened, along with an ill friend.   To say she was disappointment might be an understatement.

I was reminded of that classic 80’s song –

“It’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to…
You would cry too if it happened to you”!

Anyway, hopefully we can make up for it a bit tomorrow on her actual birthday.

Here she is, a couple of weeks ago, experimenting with curls!

Finally no December blog post of mine would be complete without some Christmas decor – here is our tree in the living room, taken with the new camera.

Comments, as always, are greatly appreciated 🙂
