If you are planning a vintage style wedding or looking for vintage wedding ideas – read on!
When the son of one of my friend’s, Stephen, announced his engagement to the lovely Holly, we knew the wedding would be cool, quirky and very unique – just like them!
Holly is a very talented photographer (Paper Window) and her artistic flair and love of vintage and retro was obvious throughout the whole day.
The wedding was yesterday, and a few of us went down to our church, Seymour St Methodist in Lisburn, to wish the couple well and see the wedding.
What a treat!
I must reassure you that I have Stephen’s permission to use other images from Instagram as well as my own images, to share their day.
Any pictures not my own I will give credit to the Instagram user.
(If you find I have used one of your Instagram photos that would rather wasn’t here – just let me know and I will remove it)
You are in for a treat – it could have an entire Pinterest board all of its own!
This was the decor outside the church (a wee taste of things to come)
The bride and groom requested everyone “be social” with their own hashtag for the wedding #stephenhollyday to be used on Twitter and Instagram.
The bridesmaids and bride all arrived in vintage cars – the bride driven by her dad in her OWN car – the other two cars borrowed for the day.
The bridesmaids and mother of the bride – stunning
The service started
Here comes the bride
Who gives this woman? When her dad gave her a kiss it was a lovely moment.
The exchanging of the rings
The service was beautiful, and reflected both Stephen and Holly’s strong Christian faith.
Wonderful singing, praising God.
The signing of the register (with both mums as the witnesses!)
Coming out of the church
Holly’s mum and sister
And finally, a “selfie” by the Bride and Groom!
From the style and theme of the wedding, and if you check out the hashtag #stephenhollyday you can see more of their wonderful wedding, including the reception, the cake, the first dance etc …… worth a look.
So – a HUGE congratulations to Stephen and Holly, wishing you God’s blessing on your marriage, and thanks for allowing me to share a wee bit of your day on my blog.
