Laugh or Cry?

There are many times during my day with the kids when I don’t quite know whether to laugh or cry. Tonight before our son’s bedtime I took this photo, and it is not entirely obvious if HE is laughing or crying.

I can assure you he was laughing, be he has definitely had moments of tears today too.

He got quite upset at school today when a visitor from the charity NSPCC visited their class, and told them a story without using a book. This was such an alien concept to him, that he kept asking his teacher when the story was going to start, and could not be convinced that he was in fact listening to the story!

Here is a digital scrapbooking layout of him, using a photo I took earlier this week.

The kit used is a new kit by Dusty Bear called Spring Sprung.

We are planning to pack up most of the kitchen contents this weekend, in preparation for the new kitchen being installed at the end of next week.

We are currently co-ordinating kitchen fitters, electricians, gas fitters, new flooring, and the delivery of a skip as well as the new appliances! I am hoping everything and everyone appears when they should, or we will be cooking with only a microwave for a long time to come.

I am looking forward to sharing the work as the new kitchen “evolves”. I know how I envisage it in my mind – I just hope I can now turn it into a reality!
