Published (again!) and choices……

For today’s post and my Show and Tell for this week, I was thrilled to see my digital scrapbooking layouts in the latest edition of Scrapbooking Inspirations, a UK magazine.

My kids were equally delighted to find a tiny image of them on the front cover – my daughters think it is great to be “cover girls”!

I had 3 layouts included in this edition, including my first ever commission (yes – they will pay me!). The commission was this layout I made of my daughters on the beach and was a scrap lift of a specified layout. (A scraplift is an interpretation of a layout, using similar style or placement, but not a copy).

The other two layouts both used Weeds and Wildflower products.

This is my second time to be published, but I still got a thrill going into our local shop to buy it, and wanted to tell the cashier “Those are my kids….I did that!”…..but I restrained myself!

Now on to the choices :

Do you ever struggle with choosing a colour of paint from those wee sample pots? I know I have found it tricky in the past, but this time it seems almost impossible. Here are some of the choices – who knew there would be so many!

I have threatened that we could just do a square of every shade for a patchwork effect!

If you are interested, we have opted for Sea Urchin 4 by Dulux, for the end wall of our madeover kitchen/family room. The rest of the walls will be Ivory, also by Dulux.

Online I discovered you can upload pics of your room to Dulux and “paint” your room.

Here it is now.

and how it will look after (allegedly!)

Come back soon to see the reality.
